After a lot of preparation, we managed to bring down the transfer time from about 7 hours to under one hour. We are now on the brand new servers which should bring Powerpets to you a lot faster.

There are still some things that need to be checked, but so far things are looking great. We hope this puts an end to all the lag issues.

On Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th of this month we will be hosting a 250,000 Mini Bubbles Staff Challenge during the day and evening. If you can beat the staff in a challenge, you will win a prize. One prize per player.




On the 25th of each month we will be holding our Monthly Scavenger Hunt. Get those thinking caps on and try your luck at winning an investigator stuffy.


After some testing it appears the server move will take approximately 6 hours. In order to speed things up, we have been cleaning up the database. Unfortunately since a storm was passing over us, we decided to wait for the final move, just in case we would lose connection during the transfer. Expect Powerpets to be unreachable for a while at some point this weekend.

When out of nowhere I happened upon this glowing goo trail. Curiosity got the best of me, so I just HAD to follow it!

It was getting kind of creeeeeeeepy, as I heard noises that made me tremble to the bones. However, I JUST had to keep going, even though the area was getting very heavily treed. I crept deeper into the woods, when I recalled an old town myth of a hidden area that all the undead gathered at. Even knowing that, I still NEEDED to see what the noise was and why the goo trail was there!



I very carefully, though even a bit hesitant, kept walking, when the goo trail....just stopped! I looked around, it was dark and I was scared to DEATH!..The noises got LOUDER, I wanted to run, but couldn't.

A tiny light appeared a short ways in front of me, so I slowly walked up to it and that is when I SEEN it!.........

It was an extremely frightful and paralyzing sight!

After many weeks of troubleshooting and attempting a variety of solutions, the lag issue has been identified as one that has no official fix. Because of this our server provider has offered to move Powerpets to a brand new server which is about 50 times faster than our current one.

Most of the transfer has been completed and we are running some tests to make sure everything is working properly. For the final phase we need to stop Powerpets for approximately 1.5 hours while we transfer an up-to-date image of the database to the new server.

Once we have everything tested properly, we will schedule the final transfer, likely some time tomorrow.
